Easter Baskets

This year at my house, the Easter Bunny is NOT relying on candy-filled baskets!  Instead, I’m making it my goal to come up with useful items that will be treasured for longer than it takes to devour eggs filled with jelly beans.  Alright, alright, I will still let them have a few jelly beans!

Rather than cheap little baskets that will get crushed and end up in the garbage, my little bunnies will be getting Collapsible Market Totes embroidered with their names.  These can later be used to help each child carry her own stuff to and from the car, her bedroom, the pool, or any adventure!

Instead of that annoying plastic “grass” that you end up finding in the oddest places several months after Easter, my girls might be getting tutus in the bottom of their Market Totes.  Tutus will offer that filling and fluff without frustrating me and my vacuum cleaner down the road.

I still plan on using pretty-colored plastic eggs, especially since I’ve been using them in my Easter mantel decorating (I made an Easter egg garland and used more eggs as filler in my giant vase with gerbera daisies).  But rather than filling them all with sticky, melty candy that will give my munchkins a sugar high (just in time for church!), I will stuff them with some of their most coveted trinkets.  Here are some of my favorite ideas (for my own kids and others):

  • flavored lip balms or fun shaped soaps from Crimson Hill Soaps & Scents
  • finger puppets
  • hair accessories from Dizzi Ribbons or Daisy Ribbons
  • Pacifier Clips for Baby’s first Easter
  • friendship bracelets (I’m going to make some for my girls)
  • edible finger paint or sidewalk chalk from Wee Can Too (great for babies!!)
  • Legos or Duplos
  • crayon, matchbox car, or princess pockets from Rick Rack Baby
  • Wristlet Key Fobs for learning driver or new homeowner
  • Bag Tags are great for any age to use for diaper bags, backpacks, or luggage
  • Coffee Cuffs for your teen or adult
  • fun electric kids’ toothbrushes
  • travel-sized dental floss (my kids think these are awesome!)
  • Stinky Sacks for the dog walker in your house
  • Bean Bags (hmmm… I might have a new product here!)

Sit Here, Sit There, Sit Anywhere!

Our family loves to eat out.  Maybe it’s because my husband and I began our relationship by going out to lunch, or maybe it’s just my bad cooking, but we love to eat at restaurants as often as we can.  But with a couple of wiggly kids and often less-than-ideal accommodations, we needed a better solution.  We need a clean, easy to transport, comfortable, portable highchair.  We need the Anywhere Highchair!

The Anywhere Highchair offers a simple, soft seat and a comfortable wrap-around belt to keep little ones their seats.  At more than 40 inches, the belt is long enough to wrap around your tot in most any chair; it can thread through slats or reach around wider sides.  The double-wide, heavy-duty Velcro offers great hold for wiggly toddlers.  It’s so portable that it folds or rolls up small enough to keep in a diaper bag or car console so it’s always ready to use.

I also adore when our stylish gear is savvy enough to serve more than one function: Not only does the Anywhere Highchair work as a portable toddler chair for restaurants and as a shopping cart seat cover (especially when the cart seat belt is broken — I can’t stand that!), but the Anywhere Highchair is also a great diaper changing pad!  How great is that?!  A high chair, a shopping cart cover, and a diaper changing pad all in one savvy, stylish product!

*The Anywhere Highchair is intended for tots who can sit unassisted through toddlerhood.  It is not a substitute for adult supervision.

Stinky Sacks Save the Park

With spring here, we all want to get outdoors with our little ones. Make your playdates, hikes, and trips to the park outlast any dirty diaper with our Stinky Sacks. After changing baby, tuck the soiled diaper into one of the scented Munchkin diaper baggies on the roll included with your Stinky Sack holder, knot it shut to keep the odor inside, and toss it into your stroller basket or diaper bag to throw away later.

Do you have furry, four-legged kids? Great news: Stinky Sacks work great for picking up after your dog as well!

*Please remember to keep the bags in your Stinky Sack out of reach of little ones; the plastic could choke or suffocate baby.
**When disposing of dirty diapers, always place your trash in a proper waste receptacle!

Wristlet Key Fobs

There seems to be an epidemic of lost keys, hard-to-carry fobs, and unattractively bulky souvenir keychains.  Fortunately, Erin Kate Creations has a sturdy, good-looking solution!  Our Wristlet Key Fobs can be customized with different ribbons, embroidered names, and attractive add-ons to suit anyone’s style — from a teeny-bopper’s first set of cool driving tools, to a down-to-business fellow’s trusty key-keepers, to a stylish soccer-mom’s mini-van movers.

At about 5″ long, the cotton webbing strap of Wristlet Key Fobs can slip easily on your wrist to make carrying easy.  The nickel clamp holds tight, and the nickel split-ring holds all the keys you’ll need to keep on hand!
