Education:   After 2 1/2 years at University of Kansas studying Education and Advertising, I transfered to University of Missouri-Kansas City and graduated with a BA in English, emphasis in Literature.

Previous jobs held:   Nanny, Retail Associate, Office Assistant, Ad agency Proofreader, Marketing Assistant, Ad agency Account Coordinator ... and that only includes the jobs I've been PAID for!

Random facts:   *Pink has always been my favorite color. *I love going to a playdate with good friends, wearing my youngest muse in my Joey Pocket Sling, holding the hand of my oldest muse who is sporting her Baby Doll Sling, while I sip my favorite java wrapped in my personalized Coffee Cuff. And if our outfits all coordinate, my smile is just a little bigger. *I get really excited and love starting new projects, whether it's making something fun out of fabric scraps, researching new supplies, or hunting for new marketing and sales venues.

Why I love EKC products:   *If you are going to be dealing with spit-up and tantrums, you may as well look good doing it! *Caffeine is essential to good parenting. *Each fabric combination offered by EKC is considered its own 'personality' and is named after the person who first inspired its creation: Claire, Laura, Caroline, Micah, Paul, and Thomas. These fabrics become dear friends.

Best part of working with brother and friend:   I've known Tony (who will always be Anthony to me) since the day he was born, and we've counted Matt as our friend since the guys were 13. They share my passion and vision for Erin Kate Creations, and among the three of us, we strike a great balance for the company. But most importantly, we have a strong foundation of trust, humor, and understanding that makes working together comfortable and fun!

Education:   Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from University of Kansas

Previous jobs held:   I was a mechanic for 9 years throughout High School & College, and then I studied Engineering before becoming a full-time entrepreneur.

Favorite thing to do at EKC:   There are two things I really like at Erin Kate Creations
1)   I love the site visits to stores that sell EKC products and the visits to stores that we want to sell EKC products - I really enjoy the interactions and helping people get to know us and the products we love. I always enjoy the look in a person's eye when they find the personality they identify with; it looks like they've found their best friend!
2)   My MOST favorite thing though, is the photo shoots. We always have a ton of fun outside trying out different poses or lighting setups, we tend to get goofy and have a really good time with it all. Of course, seeing the photos that come out of that time is really rewarding as well.

One great thing about EKC products:   Probably the best thing about EKC products is that they're designed to match your own personality - and with the new embroidered products we really get asked a lot of questions by curious strangers who want to know where we get our customized coffee cuffs. I think at least once a week someone asks about mine!

Best part of working with sister and friend:   The best part of working with my sister and my friend is how well we all know each other. Erin Kate has known Matt since he and I were in middle school, so there really aren't any surprises, and we're comfortable enough that we can joke around and say exactly what's on our minds without worrying. I like the dynamic, and I like that when an idea strikes, even if it's late at night, I'll still get that excited phone call and I get to hear all about it! The exciting little things really make the hard work rewarding and well worth it.

Favorite thing to do at EKC: Using coffee cuffs as an excuse to do "research" about coffee shops that serve double-dirty chai lattes

Random facts: *There has never been anyone who didn't like my dog Cricket (even Tony with his allergies). *I have known Erin Kate and Tony since Middle School. *I live in Denver (300 days of sunshine + mountains!)
